Parex Bondcoat UF
Parex Bondcoat UF is a two part epoxy resin system consisting of a base component containing solvent free epoxide resin plus a low viscosity liquid hardener. Parex Bondcoat UF is applied using a stiff bristle brush to give a thin continuous bond layer to clean prepared surfaces.
Parex Bondcoat UF is used as a bonding primer where the highest bond values are required. The bonder is used for applications of epoxy resin based mortars to resin and cementitious substrates in addition to cementitious mortars and concretes applied to existing concrete surfaces. The bond values achieved are greater than the tensile strength of high quality concrete. Bond lines are resistant to a wide range of chemicals to compliment the applied topping.
Uses include:
- Bonding primer for epoxy resin based screeds and mortars
- Bonding primer for cementitious mortars and toppingsTypical Properties @ 20°CTensile Strength: 41N/mm2 Flexural Strength: 65N/mm2Adhesion To Concrete:
The bond strength of Bondcoat UF to concrete will be greater than the tensile strength of the concrete. Testing to failure will result in the rupture of the concrete surface.
Usable Life:
Pot life of Bondcoat UF is 1 hour.
Initial Cure:
Depending on the topping, the finished application may be brought into light use in 24 hours.
Full Cure:
Full cure will be obtained in 7 days.
