Parex Terracaulk 30

Parex Terracaulk 30 is a Portland cement powder mix designed for easy mixing and placing in shafts and tunnel areas. The mixed product may be hand applied into caulking grooves within segmental concrete linings. Terracaulk 30 may also be used to cap off bolthole pockets. The mix design for Parex Terracaulk 30 contains a blend of Portland cements, pulverised fuel ash, high quality graded silica sands and additives to assist with mixing, placing and hardening.

Terracaulk 30, once applied is easily finished to the required profile. The product is chloride free and is safe to use in contact with steel elements.

Uses include:

Caulking of pre-cast concrete segmental tunnel listings
filling of bolthole entry points to protect steel bolt heads

Specification Outline

Caulking applied to segmental caulking grooves shall be carried out using Parex Terracaulk 30 as manufactured by Parex Ltd. The product must be stored, handled and used strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Accreditations

Parex Ltd has an integrated management system which is externally accredited to ISO9001:2008, ISO14001:2004 and OHSAS18001:2007.

This product also conforms to BES 6001.

Standards

Terracaulk 30 has been tested in accordance with the appropriate parts of EN 12390.

Instructions For Use

Preparation
Contact surfaces should be sound and clean. Slight dampening of the surfaces will assist adhesion.

Priming
No priming is necessary other than the slight dampening of the contact surfaces. Any standing water must be removed.

Mixing
Terracaulk 30 is supplied in 25kg bags. The water requirement to achieve a good caulking mortar is 4.75 litres to 5.00 litres per 25kg bag. Pour the required quantity of water into a suitable mixing vessel. Slowly add the powder to the water whilst continuously mixing. Mechanical mixing should be used if required using a slow speed high torque drill with a Mortar Stirrer or a forced action mixer such as the Creteangle

If you order a product listed as ‘Next Day Express Delivery’ on Friday after midday it will be processed the next working day (Monday) and delivered the following working day (Tuesday).

Any orders placed Monday to Friday before midday will be processed and dispatched the same day.

Any orders placed Monday to Friday after midday will be processed and dispatched on the next working day.
